Quality Assurance Engineering Assistant Manager

SEWS—Ohio Customer Service Center (Marysville)
BASIC PURPOSE: Coordinates interaction with all Honda locations in North America from all SEWS/SWS locations worldwide that provide products to Honda North America.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates the information from Honda to the corresponding SEWS manufacturing locations for ongoing issues at Honda. Responsible for communicating directly with Honda for those concerns
- Manages personnel responsible for customer-facing interactions involving mass production and new model
- Works to contain problems at the customer site and initiates the necessary sorting processes for non-conforming products
- Coordinates the New Model information for the QA group for all Honda Programs. Assures that all Customer Contact personnel are capable of completing necessary information
- Tracks responses to Honda to assure that they are completed on time and that the information is correct. During visits to SEWS manufacturing, confirms past countermeasures to Honda problem reports
- Actively reviews information system and flow to assure that the correct information is provided to manufacturing in the best format to assure timely responses to Honda
- Coordinates the submission of IPPAAR and IPP reports to Honda, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
- Other duties as assigned by manager
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field
- 8-10 years of progressive experience including 2-4 years in supervisory capacity
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have sufficient computer skills to create and revise reports, and create presentations to explain information to customer and internal presentations
- Proficient in MS Office
- Must have sufficient analysis knowledge and skills to create summary reports from raw data for management review.
